'Razzmatazz' Roses

The blooms of this miniature rose have a high-centered form and each measure about 1 inch to 1 ½ inches across. The color of the flowers varies from smoky orange-red to coral. Each flower is composed of anything between 25 and 30 petals. The flowers appear in sprays on top of semi-glossy foliage. The plants of 'Razzmatazz' rose grow up to a height of 18 inches to 24 inches.

'Red Cascade' Roses

Classifying a rose that grows up to a height of 15 feet (4.5 meters) as a miniature rose is somewhat absurd. However, while everything about 'Red Cascade' rose is diminutive, except for the canes. 'Sequoia Gold' rose has been named to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of Ralph Moore's nursery – known as Sequoia Nursery. The blooms of this miniature rose are borne profusely and each flower measures anything between 1 ½ inches and 2 inches in diameter. The flowers have a yellow hue and are fragrant.

The color of these flowers does not fade even when grown in intense hot conditions. The plants of this rose grow up to a height of anything between 14 inches and 18 inches.

'Simplex' Roses

As the flowers of this miniature rose have a simple form and pure color, it has been aptly named 'Simplex'. This rose is a single-flowered miniature having five white petals each that are set off by ostentatious yellow stamens.

The flowers usually have a yellow or pink hue when you grow this rose indoors or in places having cool and cloudy weather conditions. The individual flower measures about 1 ½ inches in diameter across. The plants grow up to a height of 15 inches to 18 inches, while the foliage is light green and sem-glossy.

'Snow Bride' Roses

'Starglo' Roses

The flowers of this miniature rose have a high-centered form and have a slight scent. The plants grow up to a height of 10 inches to 14 inches and have a tendency to spread out along the ground. The medium green foliage almost covers the plants during the growing season.

'Starina' Roses

The flowers of 'Starina' have a vivid orange-scarlet hue with a touch of yellow at their base. They are double having the typical hybrid tea rose form and lightly fragrant. Each flower of this miniature rose measures about 1 ½ inches in diameter and is composed of 35 petals. The flowers appear consistently during the growing season, while the foliage is small and glossy.

The plants of 'Starina' rose are compact and bushy and have an upright habit. The plants grow up to a height of one foot and are equally wide. They are outstanding when grown as a homogeneous edging.

Alternatively, you may also grow them in garden beds and border along with shrubs and other perennials. They are attractive when used in this way. 'Starina' rose also performs well when grown as container plants.

'Tipper' Roses

This miniature rose has been named after Tipper Gore, wife of Senator Albert Gore, Jt., Tennessee. The blooms of 'Tipper rose are high-centered and each measure about 1 ½ inches across. The flowers have a medium pink hue and the individual blooms are composed of anything between 20 and 25 petals.

Generally, the flowers are borne singly – one bloom on one stem, but at times they may also appear in clusters. The plants of this rose grow up to a height of 22 inches to 30 inches.

'Toy Clown' Roses

Introduced - 1966

The flowers of 'Toy Clown' rose are diminutive, each measuring just about 1 ½ inches across and composed of 12 to 20 white petals having red edges. This miniature rose produces pointed buds that unfurl into high-centered blooms having a spreading and flat form.

The plants are spreading and grow up to a height of anything between 10 inches and 14 inches. The leaves are dark green with a reddish tinge.

'Valerie Jeanne' Roses

Introduced - 1980

'Valerie Jeanne' bears round buds that unfurl into very double, deep magenta-pink hued blooms. Each flower of this miniature rose measures about 1 ½ inches in diameter and is composed of as many as 55 to 60 petals.

The flowers are high-centered and open as flat. They are borne singly or in large sprays. The stems of the plant grow up to 15 inches to 18 inches and are clothed with glossy foliage. The stems produce long, straight and slender thorns.

'Winsome' Roses

'Winsome' rose bears high-centered, deep magenta hued flowers that are of excellent substance. The individual flowers measure about 1 ½ inches to 2 inches across and are composed of anything between 35 and 40 petals.

The leaves are dark green, semi-glossy and resistant to diseases. The plants are vigorous and grow up to a height of 12 inches to 22 inches and are clothed with the leaves.

'Zinger' Roses

Introduced - 1978

'Zinger' roses are actually semi-double blooms composed of 11 petals each. However, the flowers open so flat that they seem to be single blooms. The petals of this miniature rose have a vivid red hue and are somewhat fragrant.

They are start off from a tuft of yellow stamens. Each flower measures about 1 ½ inches across. The plants grow up to a height of 12 inches to 18 inches and produce glossy leaves whose color varies from medium to dark green.
