Blooms of this variety of sweet pea from Modern Grandiflora are deep purplish pink and red in color. The flowers are actually in raspberry pink hue and have intense rosy red marks. When they initially blossom, the petals have a light vermillion color that transforms into brilliant vermillion. The petals are also tousled and waved. Some petals slant to the fore, while some others grow straight. The wings have the same color as the petals and are rippled. In general, the flowers have a vivid impact and are heavily aromatic. The blooms are ideal for growing in containers during summer and winter and also for displays.

Underside of the wings is thinly vivid pinkish red with a purplish stripe around the rims and above the keel. The wings have a thick radiating pattern of stripes that becomes paler to an almost white area. The underside of the wings are whitish that is obvious from behind that are somewhat lighter in hue and obviously more reddish. Blooms of 'Red Ripple' somewhat resemble the flowers of 'Kyle the Clown', but are reduced in intensity of color.

Developed in the honor of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth on the birth centenary of the Queen Mother, blooms of Spencer's 'Regal Reflections' sweet pea variety are available in double shades of lavender. The plants are easy to grow and the blooms are very highly perfumed and ideal as cut flowers.

Remembrance ( Spencer )

Spencer's 'Remembrance' sweet pea selection bears profound maroon scarlet blooms. When the flowers blossom initially the petals are cerise or vivid pinkish red and maroon, while the rims have a darker shade. Later, the petals transform into chocolate purplish hue and are faintly tousled. The wings also open like the petals and have lighter tips. Afterward, the wings change to chocolate purplish color with a deep scarlet hue underneath. The keel of 'Remembrance' sweet pea flowers is mauve or pale purplish in color and the entire flower appears to be vaguely tousled.

Blooms of Spencer's 'Renaissance' sweet pea variety are available in spectacular bi-color. The flowers are small and attractive with intense rosy pink petals, while the wings have a lighter shade of pink. This variety of sweet pea is one of the first bi-colors developed by Keith Hammett. The flowers are nicely perfumed.

Restormel ( Spencer )

Flowers of 'Restormel' sweet pea selection from Spencer are pale orange red, large and grow on strong stems. The petals are generally undulating, evenly colored and have a superb form. Modern Grandiflora's 'Romeo' sweet pea selection bears charming blooms with purplish picotees. The buds of the plant are just about primrose hued but somewhat creamy with purplish wire. The petals grow straight and have a white background with faint creamy misty shades. They have narrow purple veins and tidy purple bristles around the throat. The petals have a fainter hue on the underside. The wings are creased down and have the same color as the petals. They are somewhat chaste white on the reverse. The keel is creamy with a purplish tip. The flowers are outstandingly attractive, but are relatively small resembling the Spencer variety of blooms in this category. The blooms are very highly perfumed.

Blooms of this variety of sweet pea from Spencer grow in abundance and are available in a scarlet hue. The petals are reflexed, undulating and have a white background with shades of scarlet. The wings are extended, undulating and have the same color as the petals. The blooms of 'Ron Entwistle' are faintly aromatic.

The buds are intensely creamy with brilliant shades of red. The petals are usually whitish with sugar pink picotees. On the underside, the petals have a white misty shade on luxuriant pink hue. The petals are somewhat uneven and nicely undulating. The wings are faintly undulating and have a lighter hue compared to the petals. The underside of the wings is completely white. Some flowers are found in duplex too. The petioles have a brilliant reddish hue, while the calyx has a trace of red making them add glint to the flower. The flowers blossom between late June and September and grow on long stems that are about six feet high. The blooms of 'Rosy Frills' are heavily perfumed.

Named after a singer and cancer crusader, this variety of sweet pea from Spencer bears spectacular, firm and deep red hued blooms. The petals are initially creamy hued with an intense shade at the fold and then changes to a somewhat more even shade of strong carmine. While the petals have a deeper hue along the edges, the underside is same as the façade. The wings have the same color as the petals, but are lighter on the underside. The keel has a creamy hue with carmine stripes. The flowers of 'Roy Castle OBE' sweet pea are very attractive and blossom a little late in the season.

Roy Phillips ( Spencer )

Spencer's 'Roy Phillips' sweet pea variety bears cerise or pale purple flowers with creamy shades.

Ruby Anniversary ( Spencer )

Blooms of the 'Ruby Anniversary' sweet pea variety from Spencer are big and have a light reddish-purple hue. The petals are nicely tousled having a cerise purple hue. The underside of the petals is lighter at the base. The wings have a faintly lighter hue, are tousled and visibly lighter underneath. The blooms are very attractive and have an even hue. They are also pleasantly aromatic.
