- I’ve loved MSM (Organic Sulphur) for minor and severe arthritis pain. For minor pain, I’ve taken 2,000-5,000mg daily as a preventive. When I was dealing with severe symptoms, I took 2,000mg every 2 hours, along with 2 heaping Tbsp of wild yam root. I’m unable to take any pharmacy meds, so this has been a beautiful blessing. These tools, along with Cod Liver Oil, horsetail, and malic acid have helped to take me from severely crippled to athletic again.
There’s an ancient law that says to let the land rest every 7th year. During that year, the sulphur-rich (bitter) plants would grow, and leave their nutrients in the topsoil as fertilizer for the farmed during the other 6 years. I’m thinking there’s wisdom and mercy in this ancient law. We were never meant to experience the level of pain that we do.

- I personally have seen a difference when I added MSM to my glucosamine and chondroitin supplements regimen for my joint pain. The G/C took away about 25-35% of the pain, when I added a 1/2 tsp of MSM it went down to about 75% and then I added hyluronic acid and really took most of it away. I tried getting the MSM in capsules with the G/C and did not have as good a results so I went back to the powder form of MSM.
I had surgery where I could not swallow capsules for about six weeks and I can tell you that the joint pain came back…so that told me that the supplements were working.
It will take a few weeks to get back to where I was, as none of these are instant relief like a pain reliever such as NSAIDS.
